marine layer has a ton of personality. their voice is funny and their attention to detail, uncanny.
in 2019, they launched one of their biggest initiatives called re-spun: people sent in their old t-shirts, marine layer broke down the fabric, and recycled those into an entirely new line of extremely soft clothing.
we came up with ideas that allowed customers to celebrate the old life of their new shirts.
my role: led a 3-hour brand workshop to get to the core of the marine layer brand. wrote the creative brief that led to this creative execution (one of many).
